I think Rey, the lady who owns the Speakeasy, brews it herself. I don't know how she does it with the orchard the way it is, but she hasn't run out yet.

Yeah I used to see her in the orchard all the time but .. not so much anymore. I've still been replanting it, but it's not going to fruit for a long, long time.

Even if we could speed up the growing process somehow, I don't think the soil here is very good. I'm surprised they're even taking and not immediately shriveling up.

He was the second bad guy the Legion fought. A giant spider alien who raided trading routes, eating the brains of the crew to make himself smarter.

It really was. It was our first mission as a team. Not--not all of us made it back.

That's not how teambuilding is supposed to go. We did lasertag.

Yeah, it really was. There were the original five of us and the UP just kind of . . . recruited a bunch of other teens with superpowers and threw us all together. That was our first mission as a full team.

Lasertag sounds like a lot more fun.

Your first mission was a brain eating monstrous spider? They couldn't start you guys with shoplifters or bank robbers?

What? Now that's no fair. And no fun. Part of the fun in a game like that is being able to trash-talk the winner.

It's not about age, just usually you want to start people out small and learn the ropes. That would be like my first solo flight being a night mission with live fire while running out of fuel.
