[ It's fine. This is fine! We are all okay with the events that are happening currently.
Still, Ami breathes a sigh of relief. Sure, it's still a dangerous situation, but - they can snap Carlisle out of this! Which means he's not actually a zombie, he's just acting like one. They can snap him out of it, and he'll go back to normal. That's extremely good news. ]
Okay. Cool. Cool and good.
[ After a second, though, she gasps softly and lowers her voice to a harsh whisper. ]
Update, he is moving again! Repeat, target is on the move.
Towards you? Or wandering around? I'm almost there - keep out of sight. He hasn't done this before so I don't know if he'll try and get home or something.
Too bad we don't have any of those coily vines from his world to grab him by the ankles.
[ Pratt she thought you said he has done this before??? I guess "sort of" was the operative term there... ]
I won't. He's just kind of - ohp, no, he's coming this way. He's coming this way. I gotta move.
[ There's some shuffling sounds as she says that. She's not going far, though, just scooting around the other side of the shed. Looks like he didn't notice her, but it's only a few seconds before she realizes where he is headed... ]
Oh no. Pratt, he's going for the chickens! What should I do??
[Look everything was different in Hadriel and Carlisle was a lot less dead.]
The chickens? Why would he go after the chickens.
[It's not like revenants needed to eat. Or he's pretty sure they don't - he hasn't been dead he's not an expert.]
Uh.. Okay. You can try and distract him, throw a rock or something. Not to hit him though because then he'll probably get mad and -- well we don't wanna see him mad. Just distract him, but don't put yourself at risk for some chickens!
[ Before Pratt's done talking, Ami lets out a quiet gasp that her mic doesn't pick up. Because Carlisle just took off his mask. ]
Oh my god.
[ Belatedly, though, she half registers what Pratt just told her. Distract him? ]
I - okay.
[ Okay. She can do that. Is a rock gonna be enough, though? He went after her before, that seems like a surer bet. ]
Okay. I think I can draw him off.
[ It's risky, but he's not that fast, and she's pretty sure she can shake off his mind control or whatever it is. They may not have coily vines, but she's got a coily whip, and she knows how to use it. If she does this right, she can give herself a pretty good head start. Probably. Maybe.
Besides, the alternative is to stand around watching her zombified friend eat those poor stupid birds alive. And that is not her idea of a good time. ]
I'm leaving the mic on. Just hurry, okay?
[ Without waiting for an answer, she mutes his audio and sticks the comm back on her belt. Here goes nothing. She bursts out of hiding, and he'll get to hear her snappy one-liner - ]

[Where is she where is she. One very panicked deputy heading that way at a run.]
You didn't touch him right?
no subject
[ .... Waaaaait a sec, though, somebody sounds entirely too familiar with this phenomenon. ]
Has this happened before?
no subject
Uh... Kinda? Sort of. We just gotta snap him out of it. It's fine.
[The way he says that indicates it is anything but fine.]

Don't touch him, that's the important thing.

Hey! Forget about someone your own size!?
[ Okay, maybe not so snappy. But she's not gonna hear anything from his end until he catches up with them. ]
